      I feel like so many of my content is food baby. Something I wanted was to be open and accepting of my own body, in this body conscious world. But as I grow older, I am feeling the consequences of having a belly that extend out like this. My back ache, my usual clothes don't fit, it feels uncomfortable, etc. So for now, I aim to maintain a healthy weight with a balance of muscles and fat. I will make more videos if I am inspired but I do hope that what I have made is sufficient to represent a typical body. This is a niche I didn't think I would stumbled on and I think it's something someone else could really excel in. I am so grateful for your comment and views. Please take care of yourself and others. ehugs.

      If you are using chemicals (perm solution) to straighten your hair, it should last forever. My hair is naturally straight so the curly hair from the perm got straightened by this new perm solution. If you have naturally curly hair, the part you try to straighten may stay straighten (depending how well you did the process) but once your natural curls grow out, your roots will have curly hair. So only the hair you try to straighten will get straighten. Does that make sense? My hair stayed straight until I cut my hair a few months later. Also, I don’t think I did a good job, my hair was still wavy when I washed the first solution off so my hair continued to stay a bit wavy afterward.

    You can also use 2 c riced cauliflower/broccoli, 2 c mozzarella, 1/2 c Parmesan, 2 beaten eggs and any seasonings you like…. I never ever steam it…just simply mix together, press out evenly on parchment paper and bake for 20mins @450. Then add desired toppings, top w/cheese, bake another 15 mins. Works beautifully, plus lets you skip the extra step of steaming and squeezing.😃😃👍🏼👍🏼

    Tried it 1st time, didn't work. Then I realized the angled cut I made was in the wrong direction. Important tip: point scissor DOWNWARD when you cut into the vertical straw, not upward! Also, make sure to give straw a good twist or two as you pull it out of the drain to pick up more hair. Good luck!

    Thank you for posting your experience!!!! I just got a perm today but unfortunately it did not come out as expected. And I am dreading my decisión of having gotten a perm. But you live and you learn 😪🤣. I will play around with hairstyles and wait for a month or so, until I try straightening it with chemicals! Did you ever try to straighten your hair with heat when you had the curls? If so, how did your hair react to it? Was it frizzy? Dry?

    • @poormanism
      @poormanism 2 роки тому

      It took me time to adjust to all of my perms and I love perms so don’t worry if you’re taking time to adjust to the changes. My recommendation is to comb your hair in the shower and let it drip dry. It looks so natural this way and I don’t need products at all. I did straighten my hair with heat but I didn’t like it because I knew it was damaging my hair more and more. I do know that people with natural wave or curls straighten their hair with heat all the time so the decision is yours. I recently got a tight perm while my hair was still short. The result made me look like Annie. I think I have a short video of me lip singing to “it’s a hard knock life” and now, 4 months later, I still have it and I still love it. That’s my tip, try to appreciate your perm at every stage because it will change and it won’t be like this ever again. Ehugs

    Did you wash the neutralizer out before blowdrying hair?

    • @poormanism
      @poormanism 3 роки тому

      Initially, I put the wrong solution in my hair. I think I used the neutralizer instead of the [stinky] solution. I washed it off, poured the stinky solution on, comb my hair until it’s straight. Then I think I washed my hair the. Poured the neutralizer on. Then I just air dry my hair. I don’t blow dry my hair.

    So will head and shoulders loosen my curls they are way roo tight

    • @poormanism
      @poormanism 3 роки тому

      Great question. When I got my perm recently, I talked to my hairdresser about this and she told me that Head and shoulders would loosen the curls if you use it in the first few days. For the past 2 perms, I've used head and shoulders months after the perm but I don't know if it's affecting the curls at all. When you first get a perm, it's going to feel strange, especially if it's a tight perm. I feel uncomfortable each and every time. However, try to make the best of it. It will only be tight for a few weeks and it will loosen up more and more. You'r biggest concern going into a perm is if it's all going to be even. I've had countless perms where there would be a chunk or two that are wavy when the rest are tight. I got my tight perm several months ago and now its a loose wave. So don't panic, just make the best of it. ehugs

    Hey did it work after you washed it? Please be honest as I wanna give it a go on my permed haor

    • @poormanism
      @poormanism 3 роки тому

      Yeah, the last picture on the thumbnail was the result. It’s good to know that what it looks like wet is what it’ll most likely to look like dry. I kept on combing the hair until it was completely straight. Any wave left is sure to result in waves when it’s dry. I should also share that my hair is pretty strong. It helps that I don’t use products or damage it any other ways. So when I do straighten my perm and put so much stress on it, it doesn’t completely fall apart. You know your hair best so be mindful of what it can handle, good luck 🤞

    Hi.. how long do you leave first & second solution on hair? Is it loreal perm kit? Thanks .. i want straighten my bang only 😊😊

    • @poormanism
      @poormanism 3 роки тому

      Do you have thick hair? If I was to only straighten my bangs, I feel most of the perm solution would go to waste; I don't have very much hair. As for the length of time, it is most important with the first solution (I think it's the stinky one) but I can't remember how long I leave it in my hair for. What I measure instead is how straight the hair feels. This might be a mistake on my part so I can't guarantee this will work for you too. I just know that I leave the 1st solution on usually longer than instructed because my hair often doesn't feel straight like I want. Also to remember to keep combing and guiding the hair you want to straighten as you go. This is how you reshape the hair strands. It's quiet a gamble using this process because you don't want to stop it too soon before the hair is where you want it to be but you don't want to leave it in too long where it could damage more of your hair and or skin. I am not a professional, I have only experience doing this to my hair several times. I would advise you to ask this question to many other people you have seen using this technique to straighten their hair. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Remember, at the end of the day, it's just hair. I have to tell myself this each and every time I do something that I know could wreck it because it doesn't always work out. ehugs
